EventSense® compliments Oracle SaaS Applications by providing the ability to automatically trigger business outcomes based on events in Oracle Cloud Applications. Through simple configuration, customers can subscribe to events of interest for example, a line manager change or a person going on maternity in HCM Cloud, an invoice approval in ERP Cloud or a customer interaction in HCM HR Helpdesk. Customers can choose to trigger either pre-defined or custom actions when those events occur.
All events and actions are configurable via the EventSense application without the need to write code.
Pre-defined actions include the ability to generate documents which can contain data from the event. Customers can also configure forms to capture additional information which can drive document content. Documents can be delivered over email and there is configuration available to automatically add the documents to HCM Document of Record.
Custom actions can also be deployed as customer enhancements and triggered from within the framework, for example integration to thirdparty systems or calls to routines which update data in Oracle SaaS.
Documents can be configured to be auto-generated based on events occurring in Oracle SaaS. For example, changes to employee records such as pay rises, job changes, increase of annual leave entitlement or confirmation of new benefits* can trigger the generation of documents and be delivered to employees or 3rd parties over email. Any type of document can be generated using flexible templating and changes can easily be made without system downtime. Documents can also be automatically added to the employee’s record in Oracle HCM Cloud. This capability can offer a significant reduction in load on service centers and de-centralised departments who would normally generate documents by hand or using mail-merge tools.
Documents can also be generated by end-users on demand. Custom fields can be configured for any given document type including the ability to add picklists that provide access to the underlying Oracle SaaS data. These fields are available for use within the documents themselves. For example, if generating a document confirming a person’s maternity start date, a list of values can be provided to select the absence record in Oracle HCM Cloud from which to default the information on the letter.
Documents can be restricted by role for example, confirmation of employment and proof of income letters can be made available to employees via self-service whilst salary, employment and contract documents are only available to Human Resources departments.
* Event detection limited to supported SaaS data sets in any given release.
Documents can be automatically added to document of record (DoR) in Oracle HCM Cloud providing a record of all documents issued to employees.
Where actions are required by central teams or shared service centers, EventSense is fully integrated with Oracle CX Cloud. Service requests can be generated by EventSense based on events in Oracle SaaS. Data from these events is automatically propagated to tickets to support the process. This feature comes out of the box and is enabled via simple configuration with no need for additional integration.
